Previous positions held by Jeff include Director of Reimbursement for Sun Healthcare Group, Inc., the nation’s second largest provider of nursing home services; Director of Reimbursement for Lovelace Health Systems, one of the nation’s first integrated delivery systems; Director of Reimbursement for St. Vincent Hospital, a 290-bed community hospital; Assistant Controller and Reimbursement Specialist for Presbyterian Healthcare Services, a 12-hospital, multi-state acute care provider and the Southwest’s leading heart center; Blue Cross and Blue Shield of New Mexico, the Medicare intermediary for New Mexico and Colorado and an auditor for KPMG Peat Marwick.

Jeff has served in management roles in reimbursement and accounting, has worked in both not-for-profit and for-profit environments, and in community-based hospitals and publicly traded companies. His work has included Medicare appeals, corporate debt and cash management, corporate not-for-profit taxation, mergers and acquisitions, monthly financial statement preparation and analysis, accounts receivable and third party reserve analysis, contractual allowance and reserve analysis, cost reporting, rate setting, and systems installations.

Jeff is a Certified Public Accountant and has a Bachelor of Accountancy, a Bachelor of Chemistry and a Minor in Economics from New Mexico State University. He is a member of the New Mexico Society of Certified Public Accountants. He has been an active member on various committees and is Past President of the New Mexico Chapter of the Healthcare Financial Management Association, as well as a speaker.
